This will be 34 Years on the present site.
On behalf of the Auckley Show Committee I would like to welcome you on this our 34th year on the current site.
Following the official opening of the show at 12noon and after the fancy dress judging, the entertainment will begin.
We hope there is something for everyone and it is thanks to the generous donations and support from local businesses, Auckley and Cantley with Branton Parish Councils, that we are able to once again maintain our free admission and free parking policy.
The outside stage area is new for 2018 and we hope this can continue to be a regular feature to showcase local talent.
The main focus of the Show has always been the Horticultural, Baking & Preserves, Crafts, Flower Arranging, Eggs, Photography and Winemaking competitions. The exhibits and entries can be found in their dedicated marquee which will be closed for judging between 11am and 1pm. Rosettes and trophies are awarded to the winners, in addition cash prizes are awarded to the children’s classes. This year there are 119 classes to enter.
Presentation of trophies in the main marquee will be at 4.30pm
Auction - To help raise funds towards the cost of the show, all unclaimed exhibits are auctioned off in the main marquee at 5pm. There are some fantastic bargains to be had and great fun taking part in the auction, certainly not to be missed. Raffle draw follows the auction.
The Tug O’ War you can put a team together on the day, 8 needed for a team with rosettes, gallon of beer and your name on the annual trophy for the winners. Register your team at the Ninja Warrior event. First pull at around 3.30pm in the main arena.
‘The Tombola Stall’ is a way you can support our show. It must be the biggest and best tombola in Yorkshire, it can be found in the main marquee opposite the bar.
The Auckley Show raffle is another way to financially support us and can be found in its dedicated gazebo near the craft marquee and bandstand.
The evening entertainment will continue with free entry. Children will be welcome to 9pm. The Beale Street Brothers will headline with the finest rock n roll, blues and country style music. This is a high energy entertainment and will be supported by a disco to 11pm. Bar facilities will be available throughout and please note alcohol not purchased on the show ground will not be allowed to be consumed. Our Barman Dave provides a great service at reasonable prices and gives a generous donation towards the cost of the show. Please respect this rule to save embarrassment. A selection of our caterers will stay for the evening event including Burgers, Crepes and Pizza they will also provide a ‘Take Away’ Service.

Auckley Show 200+Club
This creates an opportunity for everyone to support the Show. It is still going strong and there are numbers available for the monthly draw. The prize is currently £100 for first number drawn. It is a great way to support the Show and keep our traditional community event alive. You can find out who has been winning on our web site and for those who do not access the internet we thank Michelle at The Branton & Auckley Arrow including Finningley for publishing the winners each month.
