Craft Marquee
The craft marquee is primarily intended for traders that sell crafted products especially those produced personally by the trader, or sourced from small scale producers. The organisers may permit other classes of trader at their discretion. Equipment is provided in the form of a trestle table (c 1.8m x 0.75m ) and a chair. Additional free-standing displays and equipment are not permitted without prior approval.
Field Pitch Information
You will be required to bring your own unit / gazebo to trade out of for this event. You are also responsible for ensuring your unit / gazebo is secured and appropriately weighted whilst on site.
Power
There is no electricity supply for catering pitches. Generators are permitted, however these must be diesel (preferably biodiesel) or LPG and near silent. Petrol generators are discouraged and will not be permitted without prior approval including submission of thorough risk assessment.
Water
Please note there is no access to water. If you need water, you will have to provide this yourself.

Application Criteria
We look for creative and interesting vendors and organisations that fit in the atmosphere of a traditional village community event and we are keen for Auckley Show to be full of good quality products, food and drink, at a fair price.
We are very careful to minimise product clashes across the site and selling products without prior authorisation from the Trade Manager will be considered a breach of the Terms and Conditions.
Applications will be judged taking into consideration:
Previously traded, Local businesses, Pricing & Menu, Ethical & Sustainable Considerations, Novelty, Community Benefit.

Public Liability Insurance
A copy of your Public Liability Insurance Certificate. Please note this is different to Employers’ Liability Insurance.
Risk Assessment
If you employ 5 or more employees you must submit a formal risk assessment. If you are exempt from legal requirement to compile a Risk Assessment (eg as a single person trader) you must complete a statement that you have considered and reviewed your operation and that your attendance will not create any risk to other persons. We provide a simple template to guide small businesses in attendance. This is a guide only, all assessments are the responsibility of, and must be performed by, the trader. Stall holders serving food or drink must have undertaken a risk assessment for allergen management and have full, effective procedures in place to control the risk of food intolerances or allergy. For more information, please see Allergen guidance for food businesses | Food Standards Agencyᅠ
Sale of Foodstuffs. Evidence of Environmental Health Registration
Proof of food business registration with your local Environmental Health Service. This is required for all persons/businesses who provide/sell/serve/handle or produce food and/or drinks (including alcohol). Food Hygiene Rating & Inspection
Please provide the last inspection date and your food hygiene rating (where applicable for your type of food business). Please note that applications will only be considered for businesses that have been awarded a 4 star rating or above under the National Food Hygiene Rating Scheme
Fire and relevant safety certificates
PAT Test Certification - Stall holders must ensure all electrical equipment has been PAT tested and provide current documentary evidence.
Gas Safety Certificates (where applicable – carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer qualified to work on the equipment you are bringing to site).
Applications
Applications are open to all applicants from February each year, a form will be accessible via our website (www.auckleyshow.co.uk) once applications are open. Previous traders may be offered the opportunity to make an early application, details will be provided with the invitation to apply.
Notification of Application
Successful applicants will be notified once their details have been considered and accepted. There is no requirement to provide payment at time of application, an invoice for payment will be issued to applicants when their proposal is accepted, this will include a due date for payment. Booking will only be completed and confirmed after payment has been made. Failure to pay by the due date may lead to cancellation of booking without further notice.
